Petroleum artificial lift market now at US$7 billion as SPE conference showcases technologies in Bahrain.

ADIPEC 2022 will be the centre of attention for the energy sector in the Middle East as we head towards 31 October.

This week, petroleum artificial lift technologies – electric submersible pumps, progressive cavity pumps, rod lift and gas lift systems – are the focus of SPE’s Artificial Lift Middle East Conference held in Bahrain.

Artificial lift will play a key role in production sustainability in mature regions such as the Middle East for many years to come, involving close collaboration of operators, and service and technology providers. The global market is valued in the region of US$7 billion.

Operators in attendance are Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Oil Company, Tatweer Petroleum, Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and Petroleum Development Oman together with the major service companies: Baker, Halliburton and Schlumberger.
