HFI was delighted to attend vibrant OPES 2024 in Muscat this week represented by Hugh Fraser and Sally Reeves. It was a great opportunity to catch up with clients and connections old and new.

 The EIC DataStream project database is now tracking 77 energy projects in Oman with a market value of US$113 billion for the period to 2030:-

• Oil & Gas (upstream, midstream and downstream) – US$52.4 billion (31 projects); 
• Power and transmission/distribution – US$6.9 billion (8 projects); and 
• Energy Transition (renewables, hydrogen, CCS, energy storage) – US$53.7 billion (38 projects).

We were delighted to catch up with Ahmed Jasser, Chief Commercial Officer, Euro Mechanical on their stand. Euro Mechanical is an Emirati company that has supported the growth of Abu Dhabi’s energy sector for more than 40 years. Their stand featured SafeHouse Habitats, originally from Dundee, Scotland who provide technology-led habitats engineered to protect people working in hazardous environments including offshore and onshore oil and gas production facilities, chemical processing plants, distilleries and food production and processing factories, utilities, marine and water treatment. 

We were also pleased to meet with Kari Manner, Director, Business Development and Moazim Ahmad, Regional Manager Business Development from Finnish company Cadmatic.  Cadmatic  develop digital and intelligent 3D-based design, engineering, and information management software solutions for the marine industry, process & other industries, and construction industry. 

It was also a pleasure to meet with Rolf Pensgaard, Vice President ME of ClampOn. ClampOn is a privately owned Norwegian company that was founded in 1994. ClampOn has become the leading worldwide supplier of topside and subsea non-intrusive ultrasonic intelligent sensors for sand/particle monitoring, pig detection, leak monitoring, vibration monitoring and corrosion-erosion monitoring. 

A key focus for Oman for HFI is our Local Partner Ventures offering on which we collaborate with our network partners in Muscat, Mohammed Al Ruqaishi Law Firm (MAR Law).
