HFI launch Q1 Saudi Arabia Ventures Initiative eGuidebook

We are delighted to launch the updated Q1 2025 edition of our Saudi Arabia Ventures Initiative (SAVI) eGuidebook, launched in the context of iktva 2025 and ahead of the Energy Industries Council (EIC) KSA Connect 2025 being held on 18 February in Dammam. HFI is pleased to be sponsoring the event along with our local network partners AlSuwaiket and AlBusaiyes Co. Please contact Sally Reeves, HFI’s Client Relations Manager, to obtain a copy of the eGuidebook.

The iktva 2025 Forum & Exhibition took place in January under the theme of “Ecosystem of Opportunities” and it was a vibrant and inspiring event, reflecting the buoyant almost US$240bn KSA energy market. At iktva, aramco signed 145 agreements and MoUs worth $9bn with local and global partners.

iktva was a great opportunity for HFI to meet up with clients and connections. We were delighted to meet with recently appointed Robert Dalziel, Regional Managing Director at Interocean Marine Services, who we feature in this eGuidebook together with Global CCS Institute, Tekmar Group and Brimmond.

KSA remains one of the most prospective global energy markets in the period to 2030 with US$222 billion of energy projects being tracked by the Energy Industries Council Datastream. The petroleum sector has US$131bn of projects on file, dominated by Aramco’s upstream and midstream capex projects and downstream JVs investments. The power and transmission & distribution sector has US$46bn of projects being tracked, dominated by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). The power sector is closely linked to the massive desalination investment programme dominated by Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC). The energy transition sector is powering ahead with US$60bn of projects, dominated by ACWA Power’s renewables projects, NEOM’s green hydrogen focus and Aramco’s CCUS plans. Nuclear power may also be on the horizon.

We remain convinced that effective Local Partner Ventures (LPVs) are the key to successful ventures in the Kingdom and establishing, restructuring and exiting LPVs in Saudi as long been a hallmark of HFI’s specialist expertise and experience.

We are privileged to work with our local law network partner Dr Bader AlBusaiyes, FCIArb on these ventures, and 2025 marks 6 years of our collaboration arrangements and our sincere thanks go out to Dr Bader and his team.

We hope this SAVI eGuidebook will be of interest to our clients and connections. If any further detailed information or advice is needed on any of the issues raised in this SAVI eGuidebook, please contact Sally Reeves, HFI’s Client Relations Manager, to arrange a mutually convenient time at to meet in person or via Teams call.
