HFI’s September 2024 eNewsbook

A warm welcome to HFI’s September 2024 eNewsbook. Please click here for the interactive flipbook, and please click here for the static PDF.

It is a pleasure to feature some of our key clients and connections – Global CCS Institute, CSUB, Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC), Sentinel Subsea, Starn Group, ROVOP and Expro – as recent weeks have given us the opportunity to catch up with them all and to exchange views on the key issues affecting the Middle East energy markets.

Across the GCC, the Energy Industries Council (EIC) DataStream project database is now tracking 509 energy projects with a total value of US$746bn in the GCC in the period to 2030 underlining the scale of the energy sector opportunities in the Middle East.

One route to unlocking these opportunities is the acquisition option. HFI has over 20 years track record of planning and implementing clients’ acquisition mandates in the Middle East and we feel the time is right to capture that expertise and experience in a new Acquisitions & Divestments eGuidebook which will be launched shortly in advance of ADIPEC 2024.

ADIPEC 2024 is only some 8 weeks away, and the Global CCS Institute will be hosting a members’ conference alongside the event which will update on the progress of the roll-out of CCS projects throughout the region. NZTC is also gearing up for ADIPEC 2024 with the hosting of the Sulphur Innovation Challenge competition in collaboration with ADNOC Group.

As we head into Autumn, a key event coming up 16-17 September is the SPE International Executive Symposium: Innovation and Collaboration for Low Carbon Energy Solutions in Abu Dhabi. Mohammad Abu Zahra, Head of MENA Region at Global CCS Institute will be moderating a strategic panel session at this event – Road Maps to Net Zero and Post COP28 Actions Towards COP29. The panel includes Luca Corradi, Chief Technology Officer of NZTC. HFI has been delighted to support both the Global CCS Institute and NZTC in the region.

HFI continues to focus on our core area – Middle East energy sector ventures for clients with advanced energy technology and know-how and developing our key client services: Middle East/International Group Structures, Local Partner Ventures, Technology Transfer & Local Manufacturing Ventures, as well as Acquisitions & Divestments.

I hope the features in our September eNewsbook will be of interest and please contact Sally Reeves, HFI’s Client Relations Manager, to arrange a call if we can be of support in your MENA business ventures.
