HFI’s November 2024 eNewsbook

A warm welcome to HFI’s November 2024 eNewsbook. Please click here for the interactive flip book version, and here for the static PDF version.

It is a pleasure to feature some of our key clients and connections in this month’s eNewsbook – Energy Industries Council (EIC), DEEP Manufacturing, Global CCS Institute, Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC), Global Underwater Hub (GUH) and Society of Underwater Technology (SUT).

With ADIPEC 2024,  just in the review mirror, I am delighted to be taking part in post ADIPEC EIC Global Ambassador Breakfast being held on 26 November  and catching up with clients and connections at a SPE event – “Drilling Efficiency and Sustainability Through Digital Transformation” on 3-4 December in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia and the IADC Drilling Conference in Muscat on 10-11 December which will feature a specialist panel: “Unlocking the Well of the Future through Digitalization & AI.”

The rollout of AI technologies was the dominant theme at ADIPEC 2024 and HFI was pleased to attend DEEP Manufacturing’s roundtable discussion emphasizing a need for a mindset shift toward innovation and proactive measures to enhance industry-wide resilience. One of the key talking points was “How will the integration of AI and disruptive technologies impact production processes, workforce dynamics, and organizational culture in the future?”

Across the GCC, the EIC DataStream project database is now tracking 509 energy projects with a total value of almost US$750bn in the GCC in the period to 2030 underlining the scale of the energy sector opportunities in the Middle East.

HFI is keen to play a key role in supporting clients’ business growth opportunities in the Middle East energy transition – routes to growth include acquisitions, local partner ventures, in region group structures, technology supply and technical services contracts (TSTSCs) and in-region manufacturing ventures (IMVs), with advanced energy technology licensing and local manufacturing, procurement, employment and training being a growing policy objective in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman.

I hope the features in our November eNewsbook will be of interest, and please contact Sally Reeves, HFI's Client Relations Manager, to arrange a call if we can be of support in your MENA business ventures.
