Hugh Fraser International’s focus on net zero opportunities in the Middle East is being showcased this week at the Middle East Energy 2023 conference and exhibition in Dubai – key topics being covered are solar technology, green hydrogen, energy storage and energy efficiency.

This is the second of three key clean energy power technology events in the UAE, following on from the World Future Energy Summit 2023 in January and preceding the World Utilities Congress 2023 in May, both in Abu Dhabi. Later on in the year the UAE will host ADIPEC Exhibition and Conference 2023 and COP28 UAE.

The technical conference keynote presentation at Middle East Energy 2023 was given by Mohammad Abu Zahra, Head of MENA Region at the Global CCS Institute, the world’s leading CCS think-tank. HFI was delighted to support the establishment of the Institute’s Middle East presence in 2021 at MASDAR City Free Zone.

The latest Global Status of CCS Report states that the CO2 capture capacity of all CCS facilities under development has grown to 244 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) - an impressive growth of 44% over the past 12 months. https://lnkd.in/dW7jAnPJ
