Heriot-Watt University hosted a Climate Hub at their Dubai campus to coincide with COP28. Key themes include Coastal Futures, Sustainable Finance, Climate Action Through Partnerships, Decarbonising the Built Environment, Industrial Decarbonisation and Transport and Logistics. There are three exhibitions featuring UK CleanTech Firms, Research and Future Skills.

On Wednesday, 6 December two panel sessions and investment showcase will be held at the Dubai campus in Knowledge Village.

09.00-10.00 - Panel Session – Energy Transition in UAE & Scotland

• Identify areas of similarities in energy transition between UAE and Scotland
• Explore challenges faced by both regions and learn from Scottish case studies that can be implemented in the UAE
• Discover strategies to bond and collaborate, leveraging crossovers and synergies.

10.30-12.00 - Panel Session -Envisioning Tomorrow: Innovation for Sustainable Living

• Provide a platform to share expert advice and bring together academia and industry.
• Opportunity to network with key stakeholders and Scottish Technology Companies who have the solutions today for a sustainable future.

16.00-18.00 - Investment Showcase

• Scottish companies will promote / pitch their investment opportunities and showcase what they are doing to achieve Net Zero
