CSUB bridges Norwegian technology into Middle East as ONS 2024 set to showcase innovation

HFI was delighted to meet up recently with Carl-Petter Halvorsen, VP Business Development, of CSUB in the UAE. Carl-Petter previously held senior roles with DSND SUBSEA LTD, Haliburton Subsea, Wellstream, Flexlife, STATS Group, Innospection, Simmons & Co International now Piper Sandler Energy & Power Group, SaxonWeber | ShareWell and Seasystems AS.

Based out of Norway, CSUB is a leading developer and manufacturer of composite solutions to the subsea, agriculture, civil and offshore industry, based in Norway.   CSUB specialises in making complex load-carrying composite structures in glass fibre reinforced polyester.  Products include protection covers, wellhead protection structures, subsea processing structures, subsea hatches and support structures.

In recent news, CSUB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions. This agreement paves the way for collaboration on the design, engineering, production, and training related to the fabrication of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) items. These are non-metallic solutions such as subsea bridges, crossings, sleepers, foundations and adjustable pipeline free span correction, etc.

CSUB has also completed a pivotal project, delivering six custom-designed GRP crossings for the Rosmari-Marjoram sour gas project off the coast of Sarawak, Malaysia.

Norwegian technology businesses will be at the forefront later this month at ONS 2024 26 in Stavanger. ONS 2024 will feature the ONS Innovation Award and nominees are both familiar companies - NOV Subsea, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Welltec, Hitachi Energy and Aker Carbon Capture and relatively new players in the energy industry. The finalists for the ONS Innovation Award 2024, SME category, are Evyon, Hystar, Green Therma, Mocean Energy and Amogy.
