February has been a busy month with key energy sector events – International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) 2024 in Dhahran, EGYPES - Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024) in Cairo, Global Underwater Hub's Subsea Expo 2024 in Aberdeen and New World Green Hydrogen Summit MENA 2024 in Dubai.

EIC (Energy Industries Council)’s Connect Saudi Arabia event was a huge success with the team reminding us of the opportunities following from the US$212 billion KSA energy market and the wider US$660 billion GCC energy market. The news that aramco is stepping back from plans to increase production by 1 million barrels a day was balanced back by Qatar’s announcement of a further LNG ramp up to 142 million tonnes per annum by 2030.

On the energy transition front, the region continues to drive forwards from the agenda set by COP27 - UN Climate Change Conference in Egypt and COP28 UAE and with COP29 Azerbaijan next up in November.

We have now launched our Q1 2024 editions of our SAVI - Saudi Arabia Ventures Initiative and ADVI - Abu Dhabi Ventures Initiative (ADVI) e-Guidebooks, tracking the lessons learned from recent ventures in these key markets.
