ROVOP RISES TO NEW HEIGHTS WITH CHOUEST TO SUBMERGE TO NEW DEPTHS

HFI was delighted to catch up recently with Doug Middleton, Regional Director Middle East & Asia of ROVOP, whom HFI has supported in the Middle East since 2017 under our DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) Corporate and Compliance programme.

Led by CEO, Neil Potter, from their headquarters in Aberdeen, ROVOP is the world’s largest independent ROV provider, following a US$100m fleet investment programme.

Earlier this year, ROVOP was acquired by Chouest, a major US group, and will now benefit from the support and capabilities of other Chouest companies worldwide, including its vessel-based operations, Caltex Oil Tools LLC, Bram Offshore, and C-Innovation, LLC, allowing it to offer a greater range of services and drive new global growth opportunities.

It was great to see another successful private equity backed divestment, and we wish Neil, Doug and the ROVOP every success under new ownership.
